Our School

At University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy, young men are challenged to grow as scholars, leaders, and Men for Others. Rooted in the Catholic, Jesuit tradition since 1877, we combine academic excellence with faith, service, and brotherhood to prepare students for college, and for lives of purpose.

Serving young men in grades 7–12, our community helps each student discover his strengths while encouraging him to lead with integrity, compassion, and confidence. Small enough for every student to be known, yet large enough to offer exceptional opportunities, U of D Jesuit provides more than 45 clubs, 37 athletic teams across 14 sports, retreats, service experiences, leadership opportunities, and a vibrant campus life that extends well beyond the classroom.

Located in the heart of Detroit, our two campuses offer spaces where students learn, compete, serve, pray, and build lifelong friendships. Every experience is shaped by the Jesuit commitment to educating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—so graduates leave prepared not only for college, but to make a meaningful difference in the world.
