MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

Merit scholarships apply to only incoming ninth (9th) grade students. Transfer students are not eligible for merit scholarships. Percentages listed for merit scholarships come from the national composite score.

AMDG Scholarship

Score: 98-99%

Earn: $6,000 Each Year

Scholarship Total Worth: $24,000

Renewal: Maintain a 3.5 GPA

St. Ignatius Loyola Scholarship

Score: 95-97%

Earn: $5,000 Each Year

Scholarship Total Worth: $20,000

Renewal: Maintain a 3.5 GPA

St. John Regis Scholarship

Score: 90-94%

Earn: $4,000 Each Year

Scholarship Total Worth: $16,000

Renewal: Maintain a 3.0 GPA

St. Francis Xavier Scholarship

Archdiocese of Detroit (AOD) Tuition Assistance Program 2024-25

The Archdiocese of Detroit offers tuition assistance to Catholic and non-Catholic families who reside and send children to Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Detroit. Each year, the Archdiocese allocates funds for those who: 

1. Reside within the Archdiocese of Detroit, and
2. whose children attend Catholic schools located within the boundaries of the Archdiocese of Detroit, and
3. have a demonstrated financial need through the application process.

Below are some key points you need to be aware of:

• The AOD application process opens in FACTS on January 15^th. 
• AOD Parent Information letter (updated for 24-25) – available below and on the AOD website.
• IMPORTANT: Be sure to check the box for AOD review.  If you have already applied to FACTS Grant & Aid for financial aid from U of D Jesuit and did not check the box, you can go back in and check it.  If you need assistance, please contact FACTS Customer Support (866-441-4637).
• REALLY IMPORTANT!: You must list U of D Jesuit as your first-choice school on your FACTS application.
• REQUIRED:  AOD Pastor Signature form.  This needs to be turned into the U of D Jesuit Financial Aid office by February 19^th.  The form is available on the AOD website and is available below.  This needs to be completed, taken to your parish office to have your Pastor sign the form and then send a copy (email is fine) of the form to the U of D Jesuit Financial Aid office – financial.aid@uofdjesuit.org
• The AOD requires your 2022 tax return including all supporting schedules and forms.

AOD Timeline:

• January 15^th – AOD FACTS application.
• February 19^th - DEADLINE for Pastor Verifications to be submitted to school offices.
• February 19^th  – DEADLINE for on-line applications to complete in FACTS.

The Parent Information Letter details the Archdiocese's process, deadline dates and other essential information. It is important to read this document in its entirety before you apply for tuition assistance from the Archdiocese.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to check the box in your FACTS application for AOD Tuition Assistance review.  If you have already applied to FACTS Grant & Aid for financial aid from U of D Jesuit and did not check the box, you can go back in and check it. If you need assistance, please call FACTS Grant & Aid (866-441-4637) and speak with a representative who will assist you in adding the Archdiocese of Detroit to your existing application.
