Admissions Events
The U of D Jesuit Admissions Department offers a number of admissions events for prospective students and parents throughout the year. Students can attend a Future Cub Night at a soccer game or an Esports night with members of our Esports team. Parents can chat with current parents and administrators at one of our parent coffee socials or at our Admissions Information Night. There are numerous opportunities throughout the year to interact and meet the U of D Jesuit community. We hope to see your family at an event soon!
An evening hosted by the Admissions Office aimed at 7th‑, 8th‑grade Academy families and High School families. It's designed to introduce prospective students and parents to U of D Jesuit's Jesuit‑Catholic identity, academic programs, athletics, extracurriculars, and the admissions process.
Day in the Den: Brother's Shadow Day at University of Detroit Jesuit High School & Academy is a special opportunity for younger brothers of current students to experience life as a Cub. Participants will spend the day shadowing their older sibling or another student host, attending classes, touring campus, and getting a firsthand look at the brotherhood, academics, and student life that make U of D Jesuit unique. It's a fun, welcoming way for future Cubs to see what it's like to be part of the Jesuit tradition.
Coffee & Conversation at University of Detroit Jesuit High School & Academy is a relaxed, informal event designed for prospective parents to learn more about the U of D Jesuit experience. Over coffee and light refreshments, guests will hear from school leaders, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversation about academics, student life, faith formation, and the admissions process. It's a great way to connect in a small group setting and discover what sets U of D Jesuit apart.
Future Cub Football Night at University of Detroit Jesuit High School & Academy is an exciting event that invites prospective students and their families to experience the energy and brotherhood of U of D Jesuit athletics. Future Cubs will enjoy a pre-game tailgate, meet coaches and current players, and be part of the game night atmosphere under the lights. Guests will also learn more about the school's mission, athletic programs, and student life-all while cheering on the Cubs!
High School Placement Test (HSPT) Prep Class at University of Detroit Jesuit High School & Academy is designed to help 8th-grade boys feel confident and prepared for the HSPT, a required part of the high school admissions process. This focused class reviews key content areas-math, reading, language, and verbal skills-while also teaching valuable test-taking strategies. Taught by experienced U of D Jesuit faculty, the course provides a supportive environment where students can build skills, ask questions, and reduce test-day anxiety. It's a great way to get ready for the exam and get a feel for the U of D Jesuit classroom experience.
The Catholic High School League will host its 53rd Prep Bowl, presented by the Knights of Columbus and held at the fabulous home of the Detroit Lions, Ford Field. Prep Bowl LII festivities will kick off with High School Exhibits during the a.m. CYO Panorama (two 20-minute games followed by the C-D and A-B Division Championships). During this time, the Knights of Columbus Color-Guard will assemble on the field for a presentation prior to the Championship games.

Cub for a Day
Join us as a Cub for a Day and experience the true spirit of U of D Jesuit. Shadowing opportunities are offered in the Jesuit Academy (grades 7 and 8) and for the high school.

Dress Code
Cub for a Day visitors are asked to dress in our school's dress code. This includes a dress shirt, tie, dress pants, belt, dress socks, and shoes. (Polo shirt during spring and summer months) There are no color requirements for shirts or pants.
Lunch
Lunch is on us! Your Cub for a Day ID will serve as your debit card in the school cafeteria, where there are multiple food options to choose from.
Visiting Day
The Cub for Day visiting day will be from 8:45 AM to 1:15 PM. We ask Cub for a Day participants to arrive by 8:45 AM through the Visitor's Entrance (Door #1) on the west side of the building. Parents can pick up their sons at the Visitor's Entrance beginning at 1:15 PM. School tours are available after the visit is complete.

Last Day to Shadow - April 29, 2025
Our Cub-for-a-Day program ends for the 2025-2026 school year on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. For those interested in enrolling for the fall of 2025, please email tiffany.tatman@uofdjesuit.org to possibly set up an individual shadow date before the end of the school year.
For enrollment in the fall of 2026, shadowing will resume next school year.
