Sports Hospitality and Security

Provide crowd control and hospitality at Football and Basketball Home Games

Open House Parking (November 2016)

Help with Parking and Traffic Control at the November Open House

Auction Setup and Tear-Down (November 2016)

Dads and sons play a huge role in the set-up and tear down of the auction. All dads and sons are encouraged to help out for this major school fundraising event

Curling (December 2016)

Help coordinate the Father/Son Curling event in December

Focus:HOPE Christmas Drive (December 2016)

Need Dad volunteers to drive with the boys to deliver Focus Hope presents to needy families. Usually on the last day before Christmas Break. Need at least one Dad to coordinate this activity

Pancake Breakfast and Raffle (November 2016-January 2017)

This committee plans one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. Help coordinate ticket sales, phone-a-thon, and the pancake breakfast. Committee activities start in November for the January event.

Lenten Fish Fry

Help coordinate our Ash Wednesday Meeting's Mass and Fish Fry.

Feather Bowling (March 2017)

Help coordinate the Father/Son Feather Bowling Tournament in March

Whirlyball (April 2017)

Help coordinate the April Father/Son WhirlyBall game

Grand Prix (May 2017)

The Grand Prix committee is in charge of coordinating UDJ volunteers for the Grand Prix weekend to assist in parking and hospitality for this exciting Detroit event

Tiger Outing

Help plan the Father/Son Tiger outing and picnic in late April or May

Golf Outing

Help plan activities for the yearly Dads' Club Golf outing - perfect for the golf enthusiast

Mothers' Club

AVC Dinners

Throughout the school year volunteers cook and deliver a meal to our Alumni Volunteer Corps. AVCs are U of D Jesuit graduates who return to the school volunteering a year of service after completing college.

Chapel Care

Ongoing throughout the year. Regular preparation and care of the Chapel

Prayer Team

Throughout the year Mothers' Club Prayer Team members pray for special intentions of the U of D Jesuit community. Prayer intentions are sent to the prayer team members via e-mail

Liturgical Ministry

Lectors, musicians, and Eucharistic ministers are needed for Family and Mothers' Club Masses

Parent/Teacher Conferences (Late August)

Provide refreshments for parents as they meet the teachers

Mothers' Club Retreat

Help coordinate and promote a womens retreat during the fall

Mini Class Night (Late August 2016)

Provide refreshments for parents as they meet the teachers

New Mom Welcome (September 2016)

Committee plans meal and mass for September meeting welcoming new moms

Pledge Detroit (November 2016)

This year parents will be supervising on the work sites as well as preparing and serving lunch to the students upon their return to School from the sites

Open House (November 2016)

Provide cookies and hospitality for hundreds of prospective families

Holiday Boutique (November 2016)

Assist with advertising of event, communication with vendors, set-up, admissions, raffle donations.

Focus:HOPE Gift Wrapping Project (December 2016)

Purchase (list provided, costs reimbursed) gifts for Focus: Hope families prior to December meeting

Focus:HOPE Student Lunch

Provide and serve lunch for our students who deliver Focus: Hope packages to families

Paczki Day (Fat Tuesday)

Assist with ordering, pick up and selling of 2,500 Paczki in the Atrium on Fat Tuesday

Mother/Son Bowling

Help with ticket sales, arrangements, and organization of event

Mother/Son Laser Tag

Help with ticket sales, arrangements, and organization of event

Fashion Show and Spring Luncheon (Spring 2017)

Help acquire raffle items, decorate, set-up, and mail invitations and promote event

Senior Mother/Son Mass and Brunch (April 2017)

Junior moms are encouraged to plan and work at this event - usually held on a Sunday in April

Welcome to the Family Night (Spring 2017)

Set-up, clean-up, donate food, serve refreshments and greet new parents and students

Teacher Appreciation Week

Help with luncheon and special activities for faculty and staff - dates to be determined

Senior Mom Farewell

Mass and Mothers' Club farewell to our Senior Moms - set-up, serving, and clean-up help is needed

Baccalaureate Mass (May 2017)

Help coordinate refreshments for seniors and their families

Senior All-Night Party (May 2017)
