School Announcements

Inscape magazine is U of D Jesuit's annually published literary magazine. Currently, there is only 1 more day to submit your writing or art for a chance to get published. The editorial staff is looking for original short stories, poetry, art or photography for this year's magazine. All submissions should be uploaded to the Inscape Moodle page by TODAY Friday, January 20th for consideration. Please see Mr. Davidson if there are any questions.

Euchre Tournament

Attention Cubs, the annual NHS Euchre Tournament is next Wednesday, January 25th after school in the Curley Lobby. The entry fee is $5 per person ($10/team) and cash prizes will be awarded to the first and second place teams. Snacks and beverages will be available, and all proceeds will benefit the Mary's Mantle charity for expectant mothers. Students will be able to pre-register in the SAO or during their lunch periods in the cafeteria the week of the tournament. Students may also register at the door. If you have questions, please see seniors John Hale or Aidan Mitchell, or stop by the SAO to see Mr. Simmons.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors

If you are interested in taking either AP Government or AP Modern European History next year. On Wednesday, January 25th in room 202 a test will take place to see if you'll qualify to enroll in these Social Studies courses. The test will start at 2:55 pm. Sophomores currently taking AP U.S. History should consult their AP teacher to see if they have to take the test. All other questions should be directed to Dr. Elster in room 202.


Attention all general BASE members: There will be a general meeting in the Chapel after school, Tuesday, January 24th. We will be discussing the BASE Washington DC Trip, as well as the upcoming BASE Convention. See you there!


The Arabic club is selling sweatshirts from now until February 2nd. Place your orders in the commons at all lunches. Sweatshirts are $15. Ali says they are really nice.

Small Robotics

Attention all students interested in joining small robotics. Now is the perfect time to consider adding small robotics to your co-curricular schedule. A new competition is beginning this week and going through April. Academy meets on Tuesdays and High school meets on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 in S-321. See Mrs. Wint or Mr. Utter with questions.

Lost and Found

The Lost and Found, located in the SAO, will be cleaned out and donated after school TODAY. Please make sure to stop by and see if anything belongs to you.
