NEWS
Sophomore Alex Van Tiem's selection to the 16 member MHSAA Student Advisory Council.
This is a very selective group and the competition was extensive with
very highly qualified applicants from thoughout the state. For
Alex to earn one of these spots is a great tribute to him personally as
well as his family and our school. He will serve a two year term.
TRANSPORTATION PASSES
Parents/Guardians:
All transportation passes, including daily one way
passes, will expire on the last day of school Friday, June 6, 2008.
There is no refund or exchange of passes that were
purchased for the 2007/8 school year. Please make sure you use your 2007/8
passes before they expire. Daily passes will continue to be sold until the last
day of school. Thank you and have a wonderful summer break.

To receive a copy of the 2007-2008 Cub Annual
Yearbook, please submit an order form and payment
of $25 to the Business Office by May 15, 2008.

Registration and Tuition for 2008-09
The Tuition and Fees Agreement forms for
2008-2009 registrations were mailed to all families. If you have not
received this mailing for your son by March 31, 2008, please contact
the Principal’s office at (313) 927-2331.
High
School Tuition: $9,600
Academy Tuition: $8,400
Tuition Registration Deposit: $500 for 2008-09 is due April
25, 2008.
Tuition payment due dates for 2008-2009:
1. Single payment plan: Full tuition is
due July 1, 2008
2. Two payment plan: 1st Payment due
June 16, 2008 (half), 2nd Payment due October 15, 2008.
3. Monthly payment plan: Ten monthly
payments from June 2008-March 2009, via automatic withdrawal
program.
Archdiocese
of Detroit Tuition Assistance Program for 2008-2009
The
deadline for Archdiocese Tuition Assistance application is April 7, 2008. Grants are
available for high school and academy students. Students that received
this award for 2007-08 have received an application in the
mail. If you need an application for the Archdiocese Tuition
Assistance for 2008-09, please contact Mrs. Kathy Coccia at (313)

If you would like to receive an application for
Financial Aid for the 2008/2009 school year, please contact

Please note: you must submit your 2007 Federal Income Taxes for your
application to be complete. Applications submitted without complete
copies of your 2007 Federal Income Tax Returns and all schedules will
not be processed.
Applications received after the March 7th due
date are processed on a first come, first serve basis,
subject to the availability of funds in the Tuition Assistance budget.
Applications for
2008-2009 must also include a completed Volunteer Support Form.

Senior Class photographs already paid for are available for pick up in the Student Affairs Office Monday, May 12 - through Friday, May 23. Please remind your sons to stop by after school or after finals to pick up their family's photo.

SENIOR LAWN SIGNS
Attractive lawn signs announcing the graduation of your cub are
available for sale in the Cub Corner (in the Atrium of UDJ) and from

All proceeds from
photos and lawn signs help fund the Senior All Night Party which
promises to be a great time for our sons. |
Lunch
Account
Lunch Account payments (cash or check made
payable to "U of D Jesuit") should be sent to school with your son for
him to give to the Cafeteria cashiers. Please do NOT mail
Lunch Account payments to the Business Office.
Bus Passes
One-way bus passes are
available in the Business Office for $5.00 each. If you have
not already completed a Registration Form, it is available on-line at http://www.uofdjesuit.org/admissions/forms/20070807_bus_registration.pdf. Simply complete the form and mail
it into the Business Office, then your son may purchase One-Way passes!

Cub Classroom:
Teachers are not required to have the next set of assignment grades
updated and available until June 11. Progress reports for
marking period 3 are available in CubClassroom.
If you have lost your ID or password
please email
Mrs. Beckett. Please include your son's name in the
email request.
*The After
School Program has begun for all students in grades 7-10.
Any student in grades 7-10 who is still on campus at 3:30
must check in to the After School Program in the gym lobby. This
includes student athletes. Any 7-10 grader who is waiting for
practice to start must check into the Atrium at 3:15.

The outing
will be at Rackham Golf Course, adjacent to the Detroit Zoo on Monday, June 9, 2008. Registration
and Continental Breakfast is from
7:00 - 8:00 a.m., shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Cold
beverages on the course, snack at the turn and lunch and prizes at the finish. The cost is only $100/Father & Son,
$50/single. Single golfers (both Dads and boys) are needed to
round out foursomes, so don't be
shy if you don't have someone to partner

Jesuit Bus Transportation for 2008/2009 School Year
Bus transportation to and
from U of D Jesuit is available to all students. Buses will follow
three different routes with pick-up and drop-off points at various
parish locations. For more information: Bus Transportation Transportation

Cub
Rides is now available as a tool to help U of D Jesuit
families arrange carpools with other students' families. |
ATHLETICS
Congratulations to
the Cub Varsity Golfers on their 148-149 victory over Brother Rice on
Wednesday at Oakland Hills. Senior Eric "Feed the Beast" Keast
was a medalist with an even par 35. Junior Ryan Alger shot 36,
Senior Andy "Poochie" Pung and Freshman Joe "Joe-Joe" Hooks finished
the scoring. The victory lifted the Cubs to a 7-1 record.
They became Catholic League Central Division Champions for the first
time in decades. Way to go Cubs! |
