APPLYING FOR EXTENDED TIME for the ACT / SAT

Any JUNIOR seeking to take the SAT or ACT under 'extended time' conditions MUST be approved by the testing company prior to the exam. Approval for one test does not grant accommodations for both.

  • Procedures and time table differs from ACT to SAT:
  • Necessary paperwork for confirmation is obtained for these tests from:

ACT- Mr. Ed Roberge 313-927-2322 or edward.roberge@uofdjesuit.org
ACT extended time request is made at the same time a student registers for a specific test date. We advise registering 3 weeks before the registration deadline to insure adequate time for the test coordinators to complete forms.

SAT-Mr. James Hassett 313-927-2318 or james.hassett@uofdjesuit.org
New approval for SAT extended time takes a minimum of 6 weeks.
- If already approved for PSAT extended time, then you are automatically approved for SAT.

  • Downloading extended time forms is NOT recommended because specific mailing stickers are not available with downloaded forms.
