Dear Cub Fans,

This is your invitation to become members of the U of D Jesuit Athletics support organization, the Cub Club. The Cub Club is composed of parents, families, alumni, and alumni parents who want to support U of D Jesuit High School and Academy Athletics. The Cub Club is a service organization that provides financial and service assistance to all of our sports teams. Nearly 500 students participate in at least one of our 14 high school sports and 7 academy sports this school year. This involves 36 teams and 70 coaches.

The purpose of this club is to help do more, to go beyond the budget requests of the school and support a healthy, competitive, and successful athletic program which involves a quality coaching staff, trainer's fees, upgrading and maintaining facilities, facility rental, uniforms, strength and conditioning program expenses (coaches and equipment), transportation, Catholic and state league fees, and game operation fees. Our fundraising activities (membership fees, any donations, concessions, admissions, etc.) will help assure our students a first class athletic program, including many items that might not otherwise be an affordable expense to our school. Our service activities include game operations, concessions, Cub Club social events, and involve team parents who assist individual teams and their coaches.

In 2009, the Cub Club has been able to provide the baseball fences at IHM, initiate a Strength and Conditioning Program that benefits ALL students at the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy, the funding of the new tennis courts at University of Detroit-Mercy College which allows practices and matches to be held for the Tennis team, and a pit for the Track team.

We continue to be proud of our commitment to both academics and athletics. We were recognized in the following areas:
