The Counseling Department at U of D Jesuit is made up of three areas: The Arrupe Center, College Counseling and School Counseling.
The U of D Jesuit Learning Center is a resource for all students in grades 7 through 12. We offer a course of directed study for students in the high school which provides them with an interactive study hall in which to concentrate on areas of academic difficulty. Drop in tutoring, organizational help, and study advice are available during all periods as well as after school. Students with a variety of learning differences are offered a quiet, supportive atmosphere in which to achieve academic success.
University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy is proud of its record for college admissions. Ninety-nine percent of its graduates attend college, and approximately 96% go on to four-year colleges and universities - including such esteemed institutions as Cornell University, Yale University, University of Michigan, University of Notre Dame, Boston College, Xavier University and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The College Counselors help to facilitate this process.
The School Counseling Department at U of D Jesuit works to provide support and assistance to the students and families throughout their academy and high school years. In the Jesuit Tradition of the Graduate at Graduation, the school counseling department will offer support and seeks to enhance the academic, spiritual, personal and social experiences for each student at U of D Jesuit.
