Coach Diehl was voted 2009 Regional Coach of the Year by the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Association! In addition, he also earned District Coach of the Year honors.

Coach will be recognized at the All-State banquet on Nov. 22 at Eagle Eye Golf Club in East Lansing.

Last season, Coach Diehl led the Cubs to a 9th place finish at the MHSAA Division 1 state finals - the school's highest finish in the post knicker-era.

U of D now has back-to-back top-10 finishes at states for the first time in school history.

In addition, the Cubs have qualified for states six of the past eight years, have won three regional championships (2000, 2003, 2008) and are 11-3 in Catholic League matches the past two seasons.
