2010 Alumni of the Year Award Recipients Announced

U of D Jesuit is proud to announce this year's Alumni of the Year Award Recipients - Br. Guy Consolmagno, S.J. '70 and John Gregg '74. They will be presented with the award at the 23rd Annual Alumni Senior Luncheon.
 
Guy Consolmagno, S.J. '70 - Jesuit Brother currently working at the Vatican Observatory as a planetary scientist and curator of the Vatican's meteorite collection. Before entering the Jesuits, he was a physics
professor, MIT researcher, and Peace Corps volunteer (Kenya 1983-85). Br. Consolmagno also is the only U of D Jesuit Alumnus that has an asteroid named in his honor, asteroid 4597 Consolmagno. For more information on Br. Consolmagno click here.
 
John Gregg '74 - John has been working full time on developing a program to enable African farmers to produce enough to feed themselves as well as produce excess for export. The program is being piloted in Owerri, Nigeria. He retired from Kraft three years ago and has devoted his time to this project and an evangelization initiative in which the Magisterium of the Church employs the latest high-tech multi-media communication and leadership internet tools to teach the basics of the faith.
