Craig Pearson received the 1st Place award in the Journalism category. All the winners will appear in a May issue of The Detroit News. Craig will be honored at an awards dinner at the end of May.
Students will be dismissed early this Friday because of the Senate Convention.
The departure times from U of D Jesuit and drop off times for early dismissal on Friday, May 7, 2010 after the Student Senate Convention. The morning pick up time will remain the same.

This year's first and second honors will be determined from the second semester grades. In order to do this we have rescheduled the high school underclassmen's honors assemblies for the beginning of the 2010-11 school year.

Annual Clean Up
On May 1, 2010, 8MBA will be performing a regional clean up initiative and we need you! Come join the 500 high school students from Brother Rice, Pershing, U of D Jesuit and their families who will be performing various projects.
Join Tom O'Keefe '64 and the U of D Jesuit 2010 Guatemala Mission trip participants on Sunday, May 23rd for a 20 mile bike tour of Detroit.
Congratulations to both the U of D Jazz Band and Show Choir who placed 2nd in their divisions at the National Heritage Festivals in Chicago this past weekend. Special recognition awards were also given to Peter Walle and Eric Childress.
This past weekend the Quiz Bowl Team won the 3rd place trophy in the class A division at the Michigan High School State Championships. This is the first time U of D Jesuit Quiz Bowl has won a trophy at State Championships. Please extend congratulations to Zachary Smith, Curtis Scheulke, Eric Kuhn, Andrew Gutman, and Ben and Grady Peck for their outstanding performances.
Congratulations to Adam Kotlinski who led the small robot team to place in the World Robofest Event. This marks the sixth year in a row for UDJ placing into the World Robofest Event in the small robot competition.
U of D Jesuit's baseball team has a standout pitcher in Senior Jay Perry. Perry, 1-1 this season was highlighted recently in a Freep.com article.
