Congratulations Lacrosse team! On Friday, the Cubs won the Lacrosse Regional Championship. The game was very exciting and became a nail-biter at the end. The Cubs went down 3-1 early in the first period but came back with three quick goals to take the lead 4-3. The rest of the game was closely contested. The final score 11-10. The Cubs are Regional Champions for the fourth straight year - an amazing accomplishment!

For the first time U of D Jesuit's Quiz Bowl Team will be competing in the National QUIZ BOWL Championships from June 12-14 in Chicago.  The team earned an invitation by placing 3rd in the State Championships held at MSU in April.  The 6 students comprising the team are;  Zachary Smith '10, Curtis Schuelke '11, Andrew Gutman '12, Eric Kuhn '12, Ben Peck '12 and Grady Peck '12. Moderator Ed Roberge will accompany the students.
 
 

Congratulations to Cub Varsity golfers on their 2nd place showing at MHSAA regionals on Thursday. The Cubs finished with a 302. Senior Brian Gardner celebrated his birthday by shooting a one under par 71 on the Orchards Golf Course. Junior Joe Hooks' 74, Junior Danny Brennan's 77 and Junior Paul Bartkowiak's 80 finished the scoring. Here are some of the "fabulous facts" the Cub golfers achieved today:

U of D Jesuit hosts the 4th annual Golf Camp for 5-8 graders of all levels of ability. It's Tuesday, June 15, Wednesday, June 16 & Thursday, June 17 at Beech Woods Golf Center located near Beech and 9 Mile. Contact Coach Diehl for questions.

U of D Jesuit Academy provides a book rental program which covers all textbooks and workbooks required for each school year. The rental fee is billed through the Student Billing Account at the start of the school year.
 
Rental textbooks must be returned on the day of final exams for each class/subject. Each subject teacher will log the return of books for their respective classes.

Academy graduation will take place on Thursday, June 10th @ 7pm in the U of D Jesuit Chapel (doors open at 6:30pm). Reception immediately following ceremony.

U of D Jesuit is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Johnson '89, to the position of Dean of Cocurricular Activities. Mr. Johnson currently teaches mathematics and is the freshman golf coach.

The Yatooma for the Kids Foundation, an organization formed to assist children who have lost a parent, is looking for volunteers to help with two fundraising events.
