The Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) has named U of D senior Alex Van Tiem as one of its 14 Class A Scholar-Athlete Award Recipients and he is quite possibly the first student from U of D Jesuit to receive the award which includes a $1,000 college scholarship.

Congratulations to Jordan Dean on being named to the East Squad of the MHSAA East-West All-Star Football Game. Jordan is very deserving of this and all the other honors he has received this year. The Varsity and JV Hockey Cubs arrived back home at City Sport Center on Monday, January 18. 2010 at 3:00 A.M. following a 4 day, 3 game road trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that found them winning 2 of the 3 games against Top 10 Opposition.
The Varsity Cub Hockey team, ranked 5th in the State for Division 1, was featured on StudentandAthlete.com for their victory over Grosse Pointe North this weekend.
