Anyone interested in running on the high school Cross Country Team in the Fall, there will be a meeting today in the cafeteria at 5:30PM. Runners and parents are welcome.

Congratulations to Cub varsity golfers on a fine showing at the 10th annual Detroit Golf Club Invitational held last Friday.  The Cubs had two teams in the 21 team field, and they finished 4th & 5th.  Joe Hooks finished in second place as an individual with a 69.  Junior Paul Bartkowiak finished 4th with 71 and senior Brian Gardner finished 5th with a 72.

U of D Jesuit's baseball team has a standout pitcher in Senior Jay Perry. Perry, 1-1 this season was highlighted recently in a Freep.com article.

Congratulations to Cub varsity golfers on a great job yesterday at The Milford Invitational at Prestwick Village Golf Cours.  Five Cub golfers broke 80.  The Cubs finished 3rd place in a twenty-two team field.  Junior Brian Gardner earned medalist honors with a 75.  Cubs Tommy LaRouere, Danny Brennan and Will Hyde shot 78 to provide a final total of 309.  Also,  Junior Mike Dery earned medalist honors for the Cubs with a 77 at the Farmington Invitational.  Way to go Mike!

Congratulations go out to the Cub Varsity golf team on its victory over the Falcons of Divine Child.  Yesterday, the Cubs shot 144 to DC's 170 at the Detroit Golf Club.  The Cubs were led by Junior Christian Lemon's even par 34. Captain Tom LaRouere and sophomore Will Hyde carded 36's.  Sophomore Danny Smith finished the scoring with a 38.

Congratulations to the Cub Varsity Golf Team on another Catholic League victory.  Yesterday the team defeated last year's Division II state champions, the Fightin' Irish of Notre Dame Prep, with a score of 161-169.  The Cubs were led by captain Joe Hooks with a 38 and senior Brian Gardner with a 40.  Tom LaRouere and Mike Dery figured in the final score.  Come see the Cub golfers play this Sunday at the Fox Hills Shoot-Out at Fox Hills Golf Club in Plymouth at noon.  Directions are available in the SAO.
