Daily Announcements for Friday, June 6, 2008

1.  Dad's Club News - Annual  Golf Outing:  Mark your calendars for the 14th Annual Dad's Club Father & Son Golf Outing!  The outing will be at Rackham Golf Course, adjacent to the Detroit Zoo on Monday, June 9, 2008.  Registration and continental breakfast is from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m., shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.  

The cost is only $100/Father & Son, $50/Single.

Download the registration form at the Dad's Club website.  Forms can be dropped off in the SAO in the Dad's Club mailbox.

2.    Attention all High School Students:  The Student Senate Book Buy Back will take place after the second final today.  Anyone wishing to sell their books back must do so today.

3.   Attention all students:  The Christian Service Team will be doing a demolition project on June 21st.  We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at Christ the King Parish in Detroit.  See Mrs. Bennetts int he Office of Faith and Service or Kevin O'Brien in homeroom 3B for details.

4.   This summer marks the FINAL OPPORTUNITY for current students to take the Computer Applications Test-Out.  The test will not be offered after this August and any current students who have not passed it will have to take the Computer Applications course.  (All incoming freshman must take the class in the future.)

      Every student who has not passed the test previously or taken the course may take the test ONE TIME this summer.  A complete schedule is available on the school website under Academic > General Information.  If a student passes the test, he has fulfilled the Computer Applications requirement.

      There will be a test opportunity TODAY after exams;  sign-up is posted outside room 115.  There are additional opportunities next Monday and Tuesday;  see the website for details.

5.  All students who participated in theater and will be a senior next year are invited to our organizational meeting for the International Thespian Society today after exams at 11:00 a.m.  Meet in room 215.

6.   Attention, Attention:  The Cub Varsity Baseball and Lacrosse Teams need your help tomorrow.  The Baseball Team will take on Berkley at Berley High School at 10:00 a.m.  If they win, they will play the winner of the Detroit Southeastern - Mumford game at 3:00 p.m.

Also, the Varsity Lacrosse Team will be playing in the State Championship game at 5:00 p.m. at Troy Athens.  They will play one of our biggest rivals - Brother Rice.  Let's get have a large student section to support our teams, GO CUBS!
